In February of 2009 my company took the decision to transfer its current operation form Swindon to a new location in Aylesbury, whilst there would be opportunities for transfer these opportunities would be limited and as a result upwards of 150 employees would become redundant.
I wanted to ensure we gave all of our employees the best chance of reemployment. On that basis I met with a number of outplacement Agencies, Barthropp being one of these. One of the keys things for me was that the agency I selected would be able to tailor their level of support based on the skill levels within the organisation; equally as we operated on a shift basis whoever was selected would need to fit in with those shift patterns and be flexible around timings.
From the outset of my meeting with Judith and subsequently Ray I felt their approach met my expectation of what was needed. Ray had himself experienced outplacement support and as a result had tailored his level of support to fill the gaps he had experienced. They offered a full service including scheduling all of the employees individual consultations, presentations ensuring that similar skill sets were within the same presentation, Judith even offered to liaise directly with the job centre on our behalf!
Barthropp completed all that was asked of them in the timescales we had agreed. The feedback from the employees was extremely positive, particularly for Ray who has an ability to motivate even in the most difficult of circumstances.
Needless to say I would highly recommend Barthropp to any organisation that requires the need for an outplacement agency, the service was first class.
